He said on his show that him and Feldman talk to the same people at LSU and the names they keep hearing in order is Jimbo Fisher, James Franklin, and Mel Tucker. He said this feels like a Jimbo hire because of his relationship with Woodward and he thinks we can do better. He also said what Moscona has said, president Tate wants to make his mark on this hire and wants a African American coach. He said the top three names he is hearing, two of them checks the boxes on what Tate wants. Culotta said he doesn’t know who will have more power when it comes to hiring the coach but said all of the candidates are qualified for the job.

I only want Mel Tucker if we swing and miss on quite a few guys. he's impressive in many ways but shouldn't be top 5

I’ve never been a Jimbo fan. Tucker would be an interesting hire. We had pretty good luck with the last coach we hired away from Michigan State.

Feldman is the type of guy you tell something to when it doesn’t make much sense but you want it out there. He’s the guy that you know is clueless enough to run with it. Zero chance Fisher is coming to LSU

I don’t think people will be mad if a black guy is head coach. But diversity for diversity sake, if they aren’t the best hire, is never a good idea.

You could tell by Culotta’s tone at the end of his show talking about this, he was kind of down about it. That’s how I took it watching him.
