When Les and Bo leave, does Crowton leave to make room for new coaches assistants?
Is there a snowball's chance in hell Crowton is tabbed as interim HC or permanent HC, with a LB/DB coach as DC?

That's up to the head coach if he wants Crowton in that position as well as how much Crowton wants to serve in that position.

Crowton would be the interim but knowing Miles I'm sure he would bless us by coaching the bowl game. Pelini's long gone. I sure hope Miles takes Peveto with him - because our LB's and special teams have cost this team this year.

The new coach will interview any that want to stay. Crowton making over $450,000 this year is a prime job. Some schools will continue to pay its coaches, some schools if you find another job paying less than what they were making, make up the difference, the first year.

i think crowton is one of the few guys who stay here. Michigan will likely retain both coordinators so i dobut crowton goes to michigan.
I think porter, henson, and mallory all go with miles, porter is his recruiting ace and mallory is a michigan guy, henson has been with him for a while. I heard Peveto was going with pelini. I think earl lane stays here, his kid plays at ULL. so im not sure about mccarthy or stud, he was rumored to be going with pelini and miles, so who knows

wasn't porter hired initially by Saban? Seems like that might tend toward him staying.
I'd like to keep studs
I'd like to keep studs

Chick, looks like you are getting some of the same info I'm getting. Some of this depends on the LSU hire. UM might be backing down on money for Coaches. This throws a wrench into the works?

i would think, our assistants our some of the highest paid, and obviously it depends on who the new coach is if miles leaves but crowtons rep speaks for itself and unless we hire a rodriguez, kelly, or petrino i think he is safe and keeping some of the current assistants is good for transition and keeping same system on offense. i think michigan is committed to keeping a few position coaches as well. our current assistants know what a sweet job this is and a good salary, if they don't feel loyalty to miles or just want to stay here and its good with the new coach then im sure we will keep a few.

Add Saban to that list. I think that he'll have as much trouble hiring a staff here as he did in bammer.

This is true, keeping coaches, forcing Les to take Carr's guys. Loyal to whom? This could spell disaster for Les.

He did have an open checkbook. He did have some to fall back on. Williams, Smart, Davis and Lance. He got Kevin Steel, who was let go by Bowden, Steel is still looking for a HC'ing job.
