Don’t know how he’ll hold up as DC on a major college football level but the dude is a motivator and a recruiter.

I don’t think he’s ready for it. Especially for Oregon so far from La. His time at Miami Oh though was great.

So Welsh in was in the state championship yesterday and the team looked like Country Day. Is that who Lance was scared of Janzen hanging with?

after Guidry made those comments i spoke with some of my criminal connections in the area and they told me Welsh is pretty bad

the bad parts of Jennings and Welsh aren't as violent as a place like NBR or Nola, but they're classic examples of terrible SES and culture

So I am assuming you know Lance and his family well? I have know him and his family since we were in diapers. Grew up on those mean streets of Welsh until I left for college. Worse crime back then was stealing satsumas. Different world today though. Regarding Lance’s being a terrible father, if you knew the Jansen situation well you would know who is mother is. Lance did what he could for him but Janzen is a grown man and made the decisions he did pertaining to college and living with his mother. You hang out with thugs and you will become one. But that situation has nothing to do with his coaching ability. Dude pours his heart and soul into and has since he was in grade school. Just look at his defenses at Miami Ohio and W. Kentucky. See where they were before him and after. I talked to him this past week regarding the UL job, he mentioned Oregon, and several other options he has. How can you blame him, McNeese probably pays around $200k year while DC at Oregon paid last DC $1.1. A no brainer! I am a Tiger fan/supporter and would love to have him on CEO’s staff.

That situation sounds terrible for a Dad. Anyway, he can coach defense.

Took a 70th ranked defense to 28th at Miami of Ohio in one year. I would think Oregon has way more talent than Miami of Ohio. One thing is for certain, they will play with energy. He is a motivator. He’s a good recruiter but like it has been stated Orgeon is a long way from his normal recruiting grounds of SWLA and Texas.

The staff at Oregon on the defensive side are stud recruiters.

I haven't seen anything reporting Guidry to Oregon. Is that a real possibility?

He's a good coach but that's a pretty big jump.

I don't think ULL will go after him simply because of the ego "we don't want mcneese's coach". Could be wrong

I don’t think UL will either. No matter if he would be the best candidate I think you are right.

I was wondering where the rumor came from. I have searched everywhere and have found nothing. As I stated earlier I talked to Lance this week and was told certain things from him but I am not sharing that information because he has several scenarios that could play out. I was kind of shocked when I saw the OP state the rumors of Lance as DC.
