Would not surprise me at all. He apparently likes the QBs in place. I wonder why he likes the one in GB

Right as Ohio State loses their golden goose. Damn. Michigan may never break through again.

Personally, I think Harbaugh leaving Michigan might be a net positive.

It is clear to me that the old school 'Michigan' offense is not good enough for modern college football. You just can't keep up with that 'multiple looks - run the ball' attitude anymore.

Harbaugh leaving might put Michigan in a better position to finally embrace spread, wide-open football -- which is exactly what they need to do to get over the hump and get back to elite program status.

Doesn’t really make sense for him to leave now that there is a huge opportunity at Michigan.

Doubt he wants to leave his alma mater high and dry like that

Plus wtf does Cris Carter know?

I mean...he has the same sources other guys in the media have, in addition to having tons of players as sources.

He's a midwest guy so in that sense he knows the area

Who knows if any of this is true

And he usually wears out his welcome at a place after 4-5 years.

I couldn't disagree more with this statement. It's not about how many points an offense scores, it's about point differential. All you need to be is +1. Whether it's 62-61 or 10-9. It's still a team game. If you have a manageable defense, you don't need these insane offenses to win. I'm not sure if it's a lack of defensive coaching talent, but the trends are disturbing.

If he left now he can say Michigan improved on his watch. If he stays and keeps losing to OSU without CUM, he will be deemed a failure.

I think CC is running disinfo, but I'm fine if it's real. Harbaugh may have maxed out at 10-3 seasons at Mich and want to get out. I don't blame him or Mich for wanting a change. No idea where Michigan goes after him (bring in his bro?!).

Rich Rod? How many spread teams have made the playoffs or won a national championship since Rich Rod failed in Ann Arbor?

Let's put this into perspective. Tressel implemented spread concepts in the mid-00's. Troy Smith ran almost exclusively out of the spread in 2007. OSU has been full blown spread since 2012 under Urban Meyer.

In that time period, Michigan has won a single game, in 2011. Urban Meyer has the point spread growing, not shrinking.

Yes. I stand by my original statement. You have to score to win and the Michigan smashmouth / ground-'n-pound offense just isn't good enough to beat elite competition anymore.
