Kind of goes against what he is always preaching about players/coaches want to live in warmer climates.

He said that admin at UM think that the quality of living is better and therefore justifies paying less.

I couldn't believe how little Carr made...I guess you get what you pay for.

LSU won't offer 3.5. LSU has probably been in contact with other coaches and knows who is and isn't interested. That will determine what the offer is. If LSU offers Les 3.5 that tells us noone else wants the job. Would you rather Saban or Les for 3.5 mil.

I think you're right on the mark.

I don't think it matters what LSU offers. This is the perfect opportunity for Miles to get his dream job. I would be surprised to say the least if he turns Michigan down.

So our fans are nuts and it's nicer to live in Michigan than Louisiana?

Excellent points Cowherd. Excellent.

What do you think a coach who has finsihed in the Top 5 in the past 2 probably 3 seasons is worth?

Saban with no hesitation. The two are leagues apart imo.

Must be because there's no declaration from on high, guaranteeing us a top 5 preseason ranking EVERY SINGLE YEAR, for time immemorial, no matter what we did the year before.

He forgot to mention that coaching in Ann Arbor is like playing golf all day.. When you do good people clap quietly for you. Makes for a less stressful job.

You wont get Saban for 3.5 you will have to pay him at least 4 which is what he is making at Bama. I want Les to stay but if he choses to leave so be it and pay Saban what he wants and lets move on.

I think Saban would come here for less than $3.5. However, his contract would be written the same way as his first one. Win a NC and you're the highest paid coach in the land by $1.

That's the same crap they spewed when NS left Michigan St for LSU. Sorry, but they can dig themselves out of a snowdrift for the next 6 months, eating bland food, and getting shot at while passing through Detroit.

I, for one, have to chose my activities for next week... fishing, or maybe play some golf. Gimme a break.

Les will only have to worry about one or two games a year at Meechigan.

We need someone hungry. With all the talent we have coaches should be soiling their pants to come to LSU
