Oh boy, can you imagine the rant if Nussmeier goes back to Bama as OC and brings junior with him?

LOL. There’s absolutely zero chance of that happening. Nussmeier was an absolutely terrible OC.

Watching guys like him get hired in the NFL as retreads has been eye opening as far as how inept and insular some of those GMs and owners in the NFL are.

Very strange league.

In his case, he's always been highly regarded as a QB coach. As an OC, not so much.

You aren’t exactly wrong but in comparison I’d say college is just as guilty if not way worse about ineptitude and insulation in the coaching profession

In my neighborhood, it's called the "good ole boy network".

He's a pretty good QB coach I believe, or at least that's what people say. I think Cowboys just cleaning house on offense.

We'll happily bring him over to develop his son as a position coach not as an OC.

If we hire Pussmeier as OC I might Updyke Bryant-Denny.

Dak hasnt really lived up to his 40 mil a year but I don`t
blame DN.Dk is uncoachable,he is what he is,consistantly
making the wrong decisions.DN would be an asset.

I would love LSU having Doug nussmeier on staff for the next 10 years instead of denbrock. Nussmeier is a pro spread oc with rpos.

I wouldn't. 2012 and 2013 offenses were damn good. Very balanced and loved the play action pass which is much more effective than just lining up in the shotgun and slinging it all over the place.. no he didn't fun n gun it but we had a solid run game and McCarron shined under his leadership. Bama has got to go back to being Bama on offense. 60 pass attempts in a game isn't working. On 3rd and short get the QB back under center and run a lead play or QB sneak. Hell, on 3rd and a foot our backs have been having to gain 5 yds just to get back to the LOS. Play sound Bama football and quit trying to be cute.

Think he'd be any good with special teams?

He coached TEs for a couple of years. He's already interviewed for the OC job with the Baltimore Ravens and the Miami Hurricanes. Seems like he's going to have better options than an analyst or ST coach in college.
