Kelly is purging people who have been here 10 plus years

I like Raymond too but dang

it's time for a change

the DC hire is more important than retaining a DB coach who frankly needs to get out of his comfort zone if he wants to move up in his career.

maybe he likes Napier, that's fine

last time I checked, Louisiana is full of talented players who want to play for LSU

We just got Frank back, I am still celebrating

he will come in with fresh energy

Raymond is likely full of "here we go again"..."I am stuck in the same job, nobody considers me for a DC position"

cut bait

Guessing we brought Cooks in because Raymond told us he was leaving Can't put this one on BK Napier poached him and gave him a raise.

Corey pissed off the administration in some way?

Every offseason there was always a rumor here or there of Corey perhaps leaving (or more likely leveraging to get a raise).

This really doesn’t worry me. Underachieving at the position for a while and I’m sure Kelly has a guy that is legit.

He hasn’t. Told him they’d talk and he hasn’t reached out once since being hired. I think this hire is going to be a disaster. Scott fricked up. Had Dave on a platter and blew it going after a dinosaur.

You need to step back from the ledge.

We weren’t getting two well-paid non-coordinator AHCs. It makes sense he’d want an equivalent job to Wilson’s if there is one at another major SEC program.

The writing was on the wall when BK did not offer him after the 1st few days. This one gonna sting.

I hate to agree with what’s being said but yes Kelly hasn’t spoken to either Corey or Kevin. Why that is I have no idea. But yep, from the horse’s mouth, Corey is going to Florida.

I’ve grown tired of him pretending he wants to be a DC and then we give him a raise. He’s a CB coach, a good one but replaceable

Exactly. Plus Frank, I'm assuming, is going to get RC job title -- demoting Corey.

It is what it is. LSU wanted Frank more. And, I can't blame them.

I just hope it's not just Kelly as the lone DB coach.

DB performance has regressed recently under Raymond, time for some new blood.

Agreed.

His organizational skills leave a lot to be desired for

That's why Aranda wanted him to have help

I understand it gives cover to pay more, but Raymond was scheduled to make like $650k this year and got a 25% raise last time his contract was re-upped after the 2019 NC.

Going coach DBs at UF for $850k is a head scratcher.

He was a talent accumulator….a great one. But do I feel like we played with great technique and cerebral instincts….NO!!

I’m fact we looked confused as frick all the damn time in the back end!!!

Yeah I am because this same guy told me about Corey to UF, Stingley’s season ending injury, Cregg’s firing, and Max and Jackson’s transfers before anything broke.
