Well thats disappointing. Was hoping for Karl Scott. I soured on Raymond in his previous tenure and he wasn't great at Florida. Meh.

Whatever you think of his last few years (under Pelini and Daronte) he's still a dramatic upgrade over Steeples and Cooks. Now we wait to see if there'll be a safeties coach.

Raymond will come back with some fire. People just need to understand that it will take some time to rebuild that defense. We are really thin on that side of the ball. I expect marked improvement in year 1, but depth will still be a problem.

Our fans are fricking stupid I see why our state is at the bottom of education as well as cost of living and I wonder who are the people voting for the same people in our state government and get on here and I'm reminded Lol now they will act like they love Corey and always anted him back.

Raymond is an upgrade from what we had, but his last 4 years of coaching haven't been remotely close to "peak Raymond". With that said, there's no way of knowing if he really will come back with fire or not. That's just wishful thinking and similar to what everyone said about pelini when he was hired. Hopefully Baker keeps a close eye on the DB progress and doesn't leave Raymond to his own devices.

I believe Raymond will have a better working relationship with Baker than he has had with others the past several years
ETA: The work environment and relationships with colleagues goes a long way in what kind of effort you get out of the group as a whole, and individually.
