Look we know you're sacred and you should be. However, nothing you said will worry a coach. The fact that LA is rich with NFL talent and they don't share the state with a major program make it a coach's dream job. That is the only fact you need to know. TOP classes without paying for them like you dickbags have to do.

It wont be harder than any other big job.
Crime rate isn't a big deal considering that the next coach of LSU will be living on the lakes or highland road.
I doubt a coach gives two fricks about traffic
yea its way off base. seriously it couldn't be more off base.

I think the factors that you mentioned are relevant to a middle to upper-middle class family. I don't know how relevant they are to a coach that would be earning in excess of 4.5 MM a year.
I think more important factor would be state taxes paid on that multi-million dollar salary, but again I don't think that is a deal-breaker.

We're going to have coaches turning us down because of the interstate and state unemployment rate?
Posted on 9/26/16 at 9:23 am to Grateful Reb
you are a butt fricking retard if you think any of those are factors for a coach that is going to make what we pay. Hell those aren't even factors for his assistants.
you should have went full retard and thrown in the state of the public school system here, like a coaches kid is going to a true public school

He has a point, our roads do suck

But does all of that really negate all of the factors mentioned in OP?
Yes

It seems like a big compromise.
Only, and I literally mean this, only to you.

looks like we will have to hire Ed O since his hummer can handle our shitty roads

If the OP points were considered by coaching candidates, how the hell did the Detroit Lions ever get someone to come interview?
Posted on 9/26/16 at 9:25 am to heartbreakTiger
little known fact, I am Coach O
Posted on 9/26/16 at 9:26 am to Grateful Reb
What does any of that have to do with coaching at the top of the CFB world?
Posted on 9/26/16 at 9:26 am to Grateful Reb
Oxford doesn't even have an interstate. Why would a coach care about the local unemployment rate?

If they vacate the arse kicking Ole Miss gave LSU last year, will that make you feel better?

How hard will it be to convince a top head coaching candidate to come to LSU?
Money... LSU pays very well. Is it that hard to understand?

I think the fact that our computer science department is not considered top tier is really going to hurt us.
Oh well, guess we have to beg Curley to come back.

I realize this is difficult for an Ole Miss fan to understand. Here's an example - LSU is a Lamborghini and Ole Miss is a Toyota Corolla, we are a top 5 coaching destination in the country. We'll get who we want.

First of all...
quote:
crime rate that is well above the national average=lots of local football talent
the city's infrastructure is dilapidated= one of the best football facilities in college football
and the interstates in BR are some of the worst in the nation= doesnt stop 100k + on game day
The state is struggling through a budget deficit, and has an unemployment number that is above the national average=low cost of living. One of the biggest football budgets, especially for hiring assistants.

You mean like how you got Jimbo last year? haha. Awww, your delusional optimism is adorable.
