how many times was miles told no before we got to steele?
Miles needed a yes man. This is his show now.

since my thread was anchored:
when life handed les lemons, he used a knife dripping with AIDS to cut open the eyeballs of the fanbase, then squeezed those lemons on the cuts
also, i give permission for anyone to use this pic:

Well, let's face it. Hiring Steele is a sign that Les couldn't pull a big dog.
The coaching community has spoken and apparently, they're negatigers.

He's really not a big recruiter. Perhaps a slight upgrade from Chavis, but that isn't saying much.
Actually he is a very good recruiter. I know LSU fans are melting right now but he will be a good addition to your staff. Best of luck to him except once a year.

That doesn't even make sense. If anything, Miles has a scapegoat. If the offense isn't good next year, LSU is going to lose a lot of games bad. Scheme matters.

We couldn't even land a guy who was currently a DC.
I mean, how pathetic is that?

Has had plenty of those.
That's over.
If Steele is the guy, les just signed his walking papers. LSU is fricked due to his enormous contract.

If it's only recruiting then just get Orgeron and promote Brick. If nothing else it keeps him away from other teams. And holy shite if Saban gets him as LB coach now....

I think I'm going to throw up. Seriously thinks about getting rid of tickets

What, did you expect CLM to make a good hire?

Bonnette is the leak. This is all about discovering the leak.
Now we can move on with the real search....right?

Email Alleva@lsu.edu about this disaster
Just did, here's my email:
I am saying goodbye to watching LSU football after today and hopefully, it will be goodbye to you and Les Miles in a few short years once you've run this awesome program into the ground.
I am only one, but I can't imagine how many hundreds/thousands of LSU fans are off the bus with this pathetic hire of Kevin Steele. Les Miles is already an inept coach, so you guys decided that you wanted an inept coach on defense too?
Well congrats, I guess. I hope your time comes quick, so I can get back to enjoying LSU football again. Geaux Tigers!
Sho'nuff
How in the world did it take them this long to hire Steele? And while I understand them not paying Chavis the money he wanted, you at least go out and hit a home run. Are we really saying Steele was the best DC a program like LSU could get?

Remember what West Virgina did to Clemson in a BCS bowl?
At least we have the offense to keep up. Oh wait

Wow! Really?!! I expected a way better hire than this....
I'm kinda numb about this. Wtf
It's my first melt down....
No one else wanted the job with the Miles clause in the contract, so we get a throw away DC.
So every coaches contract is out of sequence with Miles' contract and possible shite show of a lame duck staff for a couple of years. Frickin WTF. Who is in charge of organizing the coaches contracts so this kind of shite doesn't happen?

Steele's national reputation as an elite recruiter dates back to his time before Alabama when he served as Bobby Bowden's linebackers coach at Florida State from 2003 until 2006. Steele was named National Recruiter of the Year by Rivals.com in 2005 for his role in helping the Seminoles land the nation's No. 2 ranked signing class. Steele was the recruiter of record for five Seminole signees ranked among the top 100 players in the nation for the 2005 class.
In the 2006 signing class, Steele helped land five signees ranked four-stars or better by Rivals.com including future NFL quarterback Christian Ponder. Steele's recruiting territory for the Seminoles ranged from Miami and South Florida all the way to Texas.

Bill Clark, the next great defensive mind in the game, is sitting there on the fricking unemployment line, and this bozo hires kevin steele.
It should be shocking, but it's not.
