Cute. I thought “snowflakes” were people caught up in their feelings and ignoring facts? So tell us how that’s not exactly what you’re doing?

He’ll be named the DC...until he leaves O at the alter.

We’re at the half yard line with Nielsen...LOL.

The truth is nobody knows one way or the other. He’s an excellent DLine coach and developer but he’s never called a defense at this kind of level or spent exclusive time coaching the back 7. Closest he came was when he was Co-DC and run game coordinator at NC State 2013-2016 and the Co-DC DLine coach at Northern Illinois back in 2011-2012. Or if you want to go all the way back when he was DC and DL/LB coach at low level division 1 double aa school Central Connecticut State in 2009.

I'm a bit nervous. Dan Campbell as HC could easily take him as dc unless he decides to go for someone with experience.

Aranda was an at the time great defensive coordinator at Wisconsin, home run level type hire. Nielsen is more of a wildcard as a very well thought of NFL defensive line coach with college experience. He could be a great DC but who knows.

I don't wanna jinx it, but we'll probably end up with Blake Baker. I'm nervous. Just want it to be over. Its time to install.

That is the truth but having corey raymond back there is great

It's more about what his overall philosophy is.

You can figure out being a first time play caller.
He is engaging and the players will like him. That's half the battle

Some people seem to worry about this, but this doesn't concern me at all. Bill Parcells named Bill Belechick DC for the Giants, and Bill had never called a defense. They won the Super in his 2nd season as DC. This guy could be the next great thing, just needing a shot.

False. He was DC at Central Connecticut State for two years.

He was the LB coach there as well

He’s also coached special teams if you want to try and hold that against him as well

His defensive line has been dominant pretty much everywhere he’s been and he has NFL and college experience.

We could do much worse.
