Coach O, please do not hire anyone from USC

and don't put your job on the line for Harrell, Mason, or Calloway. Do a real search process.

If we hire Mason I think that's the nail in the coffin for O, because if it's not clear by now that he has no idea how to evaluate coaching talent (Brady was sent here by the Saints OC, O didn't evaluate him and prospectively seek him out from the candidate pool), this hire would remove all doubt. Such a shame.
Like having a good friend who legit can't see the crazy in the eyes of the chicks he keeps picking even though most minimally observant people can.

Do you understand that Harrell and Orgeron have never coached together and Harrell also never coached for Pete Carroll?
Their paths have never crossed. You can hate the potential hire, but this is not Orgeron reaching for one of his USC buddies.

I don’t believe Mason is a real candidate. I believe he’s lobbying for the position a d got a courtesy phone interview.
The fact that he talked publicly about the opening tells me all I need to know.

You know you can say the first part without having to lie about the Joe Brady part and your point will still stand?
All you had to say was “he has no idea how to evaluate coaching talent outside of Brady”
