I know I've had some fun with Chavis. Branding him John Bell Hood Chavis or John Bell Chavis at times. But I really think LSU would be crazy not to hire him. I've been talking with some of my Georgia friends lately and telling them the one hire they could make that would really scare me would be replacing Martinez with Chavis. Martinez had two weeks to prepare for Georgia Tech and still let them run for 400 yards against his defense. Put plainly, Martinez is not a top-caliber coordinator. Chavis is. So I'd say if LSU can get him, you should thank your lucky stars and start saluting him on the sideline.

Former player I know from Ole Miss Chest Bump Orgeron before an Ole Miss game........He has like 24 witnesses......

That really made me laugh. I like his fire though. As goofy as some of that shite is, it can be cantagious among players. I had a coach in high school that used similar montivation tactics and the team loved it. Although we got a good laugh out of it later down the road.

At that attitude for a HC will never work. Maybe not even a DC. but on your staff is amazing. A guy like O needs someone to keep him in check.

If he comes to LSU maybe he will have to step it up a notch to really get this laid back team's attention.
Perhaps he'll say "boys, now I'm going to leave the room and when I come back in I will not be wearing pants. None of you (&(*^&##&^%$s better not be wearing pants either!!!!"

That makes me want Coach O coaching DL and on the sidelines even more. That's passion. Insanity yes, but that'll get you fired up and bring the thunder and discipline.

No rewriting history here - that was not quite the debacle it's made out to be.
It only got out of hand because Miles started taking chances with short fields in an attempt to WIN the game late in the 3rd q.
Up until mid - 3Q, that was still a game - even with UF's gift touchdowns.

No. It's not the head coach's fault for actually trying to win the game. When a defense gives up a TD from the 50, it's still on them.
Maybe UF didn't hang 51 on our D, but they definitely hung 44 on it.
And the 31 pts to Arkansas was the defense's fault. 30 pts on the road with a freshman QB should be enough to win a game.
The only role Miles had in that was promoting two guys from a defense that had given up 50 to Ar-kansas the previous year.

He may be a crazy MF'er and not Head Coach material, but we need a DC with that kind of attitude. But, can he find some coaches that can teach Gap Control, Pursuit Angles, Wrap Up Tackling, Who the F to Cover and all that good defensive shite? The DC should be allowed to pick his own assistants.
Miles better jump on this guy or he's gonna go to Tennessee.......

Apparently, according to a guy who was on the team at the time and in this meeting, this part did not happen. I asked him what he thought when this part supposedly happened and he said he doesn't know where that story came from. So take that FWIW.
