Cincinnati Bearcats play in a New Years Bowl, don’t expect any news til then

Freeman may be inclined to come to LSU, but we all remember the Fisher fiasco, we don’t truly know his intentions. Not unil the Bearcats bowl game is played, that’s most likely when LSU can receive something more definitive.

They’re not in a playoff. It’s not uncommon for these things to come out before.

Again, they will announce beforehand if he’s the hire. It’s a bowl game, not playoffs.

I'll wait for DALSU to confirm.

Didn’t Bo Pwlini coach in the NCG when he was named head coach of Nebraska?
Didn’t Saban coach in the Capital One bowl when he was named head coach of Dolphins?

Idk why all the downvotes OP is receiving. It sounds pretty logical to me. If he turned it down already we might know something first. But if he is likely to come I don’t why he’d spill the beans before a big time bowl that’s a week away!

Nah, they'll announce before then.

Most likely it is going to be Mason, he helps the program better.
How does a failed HC who hasn’t been a DC in 7 years who runs a 2-gap 3-4 system(which is the opposite of what O and Raymond want) and what is the opposite of how we’ve recruited “help the program better”?

Because it happens frequently. It's often discussed if someone will still coach in the bowl game for their current team or not. Nebraska hired and announced Pelini before the BCS championship game.

Mason has recently gone to a 4-3. He said it was to adjust to newer offenses. This talks about it. Even without his recent d co experience, it says a lot to see somebody willing to adjust. Considering pelini just couldn’t seem to figure that out.

The hot name that’s out early rarely hits

Exactly or wait to weigh another offer. LSU fans have been burned badly before, you’d think most would learn from that.
