Auburn better get Leach or their fans will riot.
Pressures on.
Miles better not wait for any more Head coaches to put staff togeather or he may just get left out when it come to a proven DC IMO

I know, I assume all the Boise bashing was from people that have never been there.

Why is MSU a graveyard? Because we let Sherill hand around too long? Because we hired a shitty coach in Croom?

8 years ago we werent a coaching graveyard. If a coach like Petersen comes its because we finally hired an AD...not a car salesman. Starkville may not be ranked as high on the greatest places to live like Baton Rouge. Much like alot of you thinking Boise is such a shitty place. Neither are horrible at all.

I would argue that its a smart move for a Petersen type. If he can come to Starkville and win 6+ games on a consistent basis then he will be scooped up soon. Also, if we pay him $2 mill + and 6 wins makes you a God, then it might be the best place to coach.

This is the 80s, the SEC is the SWC conference, and its almost all over.

I'm a little concerned about this. It's not out of the relm of possibility.

They went undefeated and are going to the damn Potato Bowl in Boise that nobody wants to play them in. If he goes 7-5 at State he will go to a better bowl than that. And, he's getting paid way more.

Peterson would be a fool to go to cow bell town. He should angle for the Auburn job which would be a real upgrade and reason to leave Boise.

In the last 30 years, MSU has had 11 winning seasons. They have won 10 games once (1999). They have won 9 or more games twice (’99 and ’80). They haven’t won an SEC title since 1941 and they have been in the SEC title game exactly once.

I don’t mean to be mean, but that just screams “crappy job”. Peterson probably could have the auburn job. He could certainly have the UW job. The MSU job is not as good as those are. It’s not worth leaving Boise for.
