OM may be able to put together 40 mill in NIL for one year, but not year after year. Likewise, their resources don’t compare with LSU’s. This is the difference maker when you negotiate a guy who want to win EVERY year.
Exactly. Assume $12 mil for Kiffin, $8 mil for his staff and $25 a year on top of rev share for NIL.
Ole Miss thinks that can support $45 million a year, every year? Thats not even remotely reasonable.
Ole Miss has money, but they don’t even have LSU or Florida money and neither one of those schools could sustain that number.

Friday:
Keith Cater and Lane meet to announce Ole Miss giving $40M NIL guarantee to manchild Kiffin.
Saturday:
Announce contract extension right before Gameday airs for peak attention

Nobody thought we could put together another class like last year either. Not saying we can continue down this path.

So Lane will immediately know they are stupid and don’t understand the collectives are over and it’s now about rev share.

Ole Miss can't sustain $40m/year for NIL.

Y’all didn’t. Ole Miss isn’t on any of the top 25 spender lists for 2025.
Be honest with yourselves. Y’all spent big last year and missed. This year, Kiffin hit on a gem in a 5th year D2 transfer QB.

Ole Miss thinking they’re Texas now with frick you money is amusing.

the longer this shite goes the more it favors LSU
I disagree.
Ole Miss has a coach. LSU needs one. If this goes through next Friday (Egg Bowl) and Ole Miss beats MSU, they are unequivocally IN the CFP. That means Lane would have to leave his playoff bound team to become the coach at LSU. I can't see that happening.
At that point, Lane would be coaching Ole Miss until, AT LEAST, Dec. 19-20, possibly longer if OM wins their first game. LSU's not going to wait until late December, maybe longer, for Lane to make a decision.

The most important transfer is Lacy. Our WR hit rate has been fantastic too. We have 5 guys with at least 20 catches. If TV revenue continues to be there it evens the playing field more than anything else.

Without Chambliss Ole Miss loses multiple games. His decision making and ability to be safe with the ball is what opens up Lacy half the time.

10-1 team wouldn’t be as good without their starting QB? No shite, moron.

Lacy's two runs which saved our season happened against South Carolina and Florida breaking tackles past the LOS. Not saying Trinidad hasn't been great but our WRs and TEs have been elite in space and very few dropped passes(unlike Tre Harris in Death Valley)

They can’t maintain that level of money. Mississippi doesn’t have it. That’s just fact.

IMO
If ole miss gives him 40mil for NIL
I think he stays, it’s a main reason he wants to leave
U can buy whatever player u desire and compete for a natty every single season, cause let’s be honest, this team he has now is decent but not enough to win it all
