Not saying he is even a consideration or a good fit,but like Saban, he is not doing well in the NFL. Would he want to try to take down Saban? Could he recruit well in the SEC?

One can only hope! Of course Chip won't lose his job this year.

Would not want.

Gimmicky offenses don't work in the SEC. Ask Malzahn.

Gus's offense ain't shite compared to Kelly's. With that said, I think he goes to USC "IF" they are impatient enough to fire Helton after only one year.

Malzahn's offense WAS actually a proprietary gimmick of Gus Malzahn. Chip had an actual system that works in similar forms in many other places.

I would love to have Chip Kelly, but he's not saying anything until his NFL season is more decided. Who knows when that'll be.

In forecasting the 49ers remaining schedule I don't think it at all unreasonable that they finish 6-10, and sit at 2-5 during their bye-week on October 30th.

So I'd add October 30th into our key dates to watch during this coaching search; why not reach out to him and gauge his interest. If he's sitting there at 2-5 he may be willing to listen...
