Does UCLA even need an indoor field in LA? Aren't indoor fields supposed to be there in case of inclement weather first and foremost?

About the smartest ( or at a minimum most logical ) thing I have read on this board in about a year.

It will be interesting to see what he does. I think at minimum he will have UCLA competing for PAC titles fairly regularly

yes, they dont have a IPF. but they have everything else

Except the "everything else" includes an off campus stadium ninety minutes away with no dedicated parking and terrible sight lines.

UCLA wanted to build an on campus stadium but their rich neighbors blocked them over traffic concerns.

I said worst in the conference and I stand by it.

and that shitty stadium off campus happens to be the most historic football stadium in the entire country

and i stand by my statement that UCLA does not have the worst facilities in the conference

There is a good chance Chip will do at UCLA what Pete did at USC.

You're an idiot. UCLA has never recruited anywhere near the level USC has.

If they don't have an IPF, have to drive ninety minutes to get to a stadium with no parking nearby, terrible sight lines, and inferior amenities to every other stadium in the conference...they have the worst, no argument.

There's a reason UCLA wanted to build a stadium on campus, after all.

I think he's a better fit at UCLA and PAC 12. He's also more comfortable on the west coast.

and USC still plays in the coliseum which is just as shitty as a gameday experience as the rose bowl and they have like a 30 yard IPF if that

It's still on campus, and was nicely renovated. Again, UCLA was desperate to build an on campus stadium. There's a reason for that.

ESPN now reporting Kelly to UCLA as breaking news as well. Chip has told ESPN he is headed to UCLA.
