I agree. We did want his recruiting and energy. I am not worried about him recruiting at TN though. He will not be able to recruit Louisiana kids to Tennesse as well as he did to Mississippi. It is too far away and at times too damn cold.

I don't like the fact that you have a guy now at UT with big time LA connections. I wanted him more to help keep guys from leaving the state and now we will be competing for players in our own state with Tennessee.

haven't read the whole thread, so this may have been posted, but that same web site had this to say on Tuesday.

LSU: In addition to Ron Cooper, Chicago Bears assistant Brick Haley is expected the join his close friend John Chavis in Baton Rouge. Haley is a veteran defensive line coach.

so apparently both Brooks or Haley is "hiring a buddy." not a bad thing either way, if both are good coaches...
