Only Alabama fans include 44+ yard fgs and blocked field goals as "kicker just missed them"..

Do they forget they needed Tennessee to "miss" two field goals on a BCSNG year?

I know Bama fans are not used to having loyal coaches, but just maybe.....MAYBE Gus enjoys being in Auburn, and wants to stay because he feels like it's where he can settle down and enjoy life. There's a reason why no coach has left Auburn voluntarily since the 1920s.

He was OC in 2009, 2010, HC in 2013. I believe that makes him 2-1 vs Al Obama, with a 2 game winning streak. If his talent only comes close to what the Gumps have, he beats them. It's been proven.

It kills bama fans that Auburn is a place that coaches want to be. Saban put off signing a contract as long as he could to try to get the hell out of Tuscaloosa. If Mack had not thrown a wrench into his plans he would be at Texas right now. Bill Curry was 10-2 and tied for first in the SEC his last year and he said "to hell with this I am going to Kentucky". Dennis Franchione figured those dumb asses out pretty quick and bolted to Texas A&M. Auburn is a place that coaches choose to raise a family in. Tuscaloosa is a place where when the job is over you get the hell out of town. Or sometimes before the job is even over.

Did Tennessee's kicker hit the center in the back of the head?

I think ours did.

It is an Achilles heel. That's completely fair. That said I think if Saban was younger he would have taken the Texas job because they have more built in luxuries than any job in cfb. Texas is a better job than auburn and it's not really close. That's more of a statement to Texas than a dig against auburn. That said there is no way he is leaving auburn after one year whether he is playing in a national title game or not. The title game has no bearing on this at all. Him developing a reputation for jumping after one year on two consecutive jobs could hurt his reputation though.

His wife would be committed in Austin whereas in Opelika, crazy is standard.
