If you ever met Mawae you would have no doubt he would be a great oline coach for LSU. He can talk football technique and strategy for hours. He can motivate a log.

He is an impressive individual. No homo/no binder.

Grimes tweeted a pic of O last night with the caption "LOVE THIS MAN - can't wait to go to work...and help him bring home a Championship!!!"

That doesn't sound like a guy about to get canned.

exactly.. Im pretty sure Grimes is a damn good coach, when he left Va Tech he was highly regarded and damn good recruiter. his specialty is a zone blocking scheme, it didnt mesh well when you have to block 8 guys with 6. it just doesnt work.. The oline will look alot better in the new scheme.. the guy at Bama made everybody look bad.. dude was a beast and prob the best Dlineman in college since Suh..

Is anyone stupid enough to think he doesn't know as much as anyone on the planet about OL?

No, some just realize that being a great player doesn't make you a great coach. Joe Nameth was a great QB. I doubt Sabah is hiring him as his QB coach anytime soon.

Some great players make great coaches, some don't. I don't think LSU is the place to find out, but we just hired our DL coach to run our program, so anything can happen.

Mawae wanted the job a few years ago and Miles picked Grimes over him.

What about Rob Sale? He is a former LSU lineman and has coached at Georgia, McNeese St and now ULM.

Y'all realize Mawae has zero coaching experience? Don't get me wrong, I love the guy and what he did for LSU and in the NFL, but y'all are crazy to think this should be his first coaching gig

totally agree with this. He has a total coaching resume of 3 MONTHS

Are you so morally corrupt that you sit around making shite up to post on a message board just to "cleverly" but dishonestly make it appear for just a short period of time that you know anything at all worth knowing about the real world?

Morons like you who post baseless bullshite as the truth are beginning wear thin on this board, and frankly, everywhere else as well...
