Can TD and the LSU fanbase handle a non splash hire?

Ive listened to more podcasts and opinions than i care to count, and the general consensus is it wont be Riley, Dabo, or Jimbo.
If thats true, can this fanbase handle if its Aranda, Napier or Tucker?
I really do think it will be one of those.

Literally does not matter who it is, people will melt when it isn’t their guy.
The reality is most names we see in contention could do great things here. Les and Ed, neither the best coach in the world, had us winning championships. Any name that’s been seriously thrown around is an upgrade. Some would be better than others, yes, but I’ll give the benefit of the doubt until I see the product on the field.

Coach Billy Napier would not be a splash hire, but I would jump on the LSU bandwagon.
Heck, I’ve jumped on every coach’s band wagon - Jerry, Bill, Mike, Curly, Gerry, Nick, Les, & Big O’s hire.

One of the no splash guys is probably the most ideal coach for the program. Our fans want a splash because we didn’t get one with Ed and we want our new guy to be the anti-Ed.

The last two hires weren’t splash hires and they both ended up with a national title as well as a third title game appearance with multiple conference titles.
LSU will be LSU and any Coach with half a brain will be successful here.

There will be many who probably say something to the effect of WTH?! no matter who it is. All that matters is the W/L record and championships. That is it.
