Saban is 24-1 against his former assistants, why in the world would we hire one to try and beat him every year???

Saban will die soon. Average life expectancy is 74. I’m sure his heart is in bad shape.

Can someone explain to me why Matt Rhule’s name is ever mentioned?

Why would he even consider leaving the NFL?

It’s a long shot but most of his experience is in college. The hope is that he doesn’t like the pro game.

Great Success at Baylor after taking over a Title9 dumpster fire

I do agree that he’s probably not realistic and probably has no plans to go back to CFB, but he’s definitely qualified foe the LSU job, especially given our current circumstances and the similarities to what he took over at Baylor

1) Riley, if no then

Already coming to the SEC, and is not trading Caleb Williams for Max.

2) Rhule, if no then

Obviously wants to remain as a pro coach.

3) Kiffin with Pruitt as DC

Won't last as long as Orgeron.

Raiders (2 years)
Tenn (1 Year)
USC (fired after 3 years)
Bama OC (ran off after 3 years)
Florida Atlantic HC (3 years)
Ole Miss HC (wants out after 2 years)

Of coarse you know Rhule personally to make that statement.
Many college coaches go try the NFL only to realize its
not as great as they thought. You are only as good as your
GM and QB.

Herman’s problem wasn’t his coaching talent, it was the dumpster fire that UT had become before his arrival. This reinforces why schools need to stand-up to old coaches like Mack Brown who got too comfortable & lazy.

The “he’s never been a head coach” “no clue how to run a program” stuff is so stupid lol. Joe Brady is being courted by NFL teams to be a Head Coach soon but you don’t think he’s good enough to coach at LSU? Sean McVay was never a HC until he was. Lincoln Riley was the young hotshot OC under Stoops and then made the program even better. Just because they haven’t been a Head coach before should not mark anybody off the list.

Herman is an excellent play caller and a good recruiter. He’ll land an OC job somewhere soon kill it and then be back in the fold for another HC opportunity before too long.
