Salty is not Derek, he is one of BDP and Ensminger’s BBQ buddies from West Monroe. He has been around a while. I have no idea why he is spinning this like he is. I guess he is trying to protect his BBQ buddy who is Being a good soldier and falling on his sword for his alma mater and a sweet jump in his pension

frick you Derek, I cannot wait until you’re out on your fat arse again

It sounds like him. If we call him a felon, and our posts gets whacked like last year, then that might be even more evidence.

I have no idea if he'll be successful or not, but I'm not going to assume he's going to be a Cam clone either.

Go back and look at Auburn’s last 7 games in 2008 whenever he took over as OC. It’s horrible how bad the offense was, and I think it’s because Franklin ( who got fired) ran a spread offense he was unfamiliar with. We can expect pretty much the same offense we’ve been having, a run heavy prostyle offense.

If this is true, I wish these donors would instead donate that money to the LSU Foundation.

He has a soft spot for position coaches.

I mean their two QBs were Chris Todd and Kodi Burns who would switch to WR the next year. I'm not going to put really any of that on Ensminger. Tubberville was on his last legs in 2008, fired Borges after the 2007 season, fired Franklin halfway through the 2008 season, and left Ensminger to try to pick up the pieces as interim OC. It was a no-win situation for anyone on that staff. They came into our game in the top 10, let Lee mount a comeback, and their season was a downward spiral thereafter.

And I'll reiterate again, that, in no way, am I saying Ensminger was a good hire or that I have a lot of confidence he's the answer. But I am willing to give him a chance (what choice do I really have) and I'm not going to use what happened at Auburn as a reason why he can't succeed

Yeah trying to lay Auburn on SE is completely misguided

The reason for this was ultimately to keep our boosters funneling in cash.

I’m not sure I follow your logic. What would be the coaches’ and university admins’ motivation to do that?

If that did happen, who were the ones who orchestrated and strong-armed that plan?

Not what I was doing, just pointing out that spread offense is not his forte.

it also doesn't make sense because we're talking about dragging it out a week and a half.

Months, huh? That's a long time in recruiting, I suppose. I'm not happy with the state of the program right now either, but your statement is dipping with ignorance.

O was the recruiting coordinator at the end of the Miles era. He had more than jist a couple months.

My really good friend is a purple blazer donor and he’s not giving them a dime until O is gone. He’s told me his donor friends are doing the same. My buddy is instead giving his usual donation to the vet school

It's a shame that Ensminger is being dumped on in this firestorm. None of this is his fault. The pressure on him is going to be far greater than on any other OC. I hope he does well in spite of the choice.

Absolutely agree and it's also a shame that 7 people felt the need to down vote your post.

If thinking that Oeaux and his staff are in over their heads, and we're on a fast track to the dark ages of the 90's, makes you feel better about yourself, then knock yourself out

Insider info or not, this it obviously true. The decisions they make publicly are complete shite.

Fact is, O was a non-logical hire and has done plenty since then and his days at OM to warrant being labeled a cancer to this program.

Just entertaining ensminger for OC shows we've taken a huge step back.

O obviously had some kind of blame in the Canada situation, or they would've fired him for cause.

I don't need insiders telling me all that kind of stuff. I can despise O by myself.
