saw Feldman mention this as a possibility.
Would he bolt on TN? Would be hilarious.

Butch have a connection to Va Tech?
I would assume Rich Rod is their top choice.

That would add some juice to the Battle at Bristol.

Butch isn't going anywhere. They may have quite a few losses, but they havent gotten their arse kicked in any game this year. They also have another stellar recruiting class on the way. He is gonna be there for a few more years.

He's going to hand over some play-calling and scheming to new coordinators IMO.
He has done an absolutely fantastic job of rebuilding that program in every facet besides closing out games in the 4th quarter.

I think Butch and the AD at Va Tech worked together at another stop

Tech has said they want to keep the culture of winning with defense and special teams. That's why Bud Foster and Kirby Smart are the leaders.
Rich Rod is nowhere near any of those

I can't seen him leaving Tennessee for VT. If they could get one of the top young coaches to replace him then it could be a upgrade anyways.

Unfortunately I don't see this happening.

Personally, I think Bud Foster would be an absolute failure there. These types of successors never work out. Need new blood.
