Browns win, but Freddie Kitchens’ seat gets hotter

Freddie is the perfect Browns coach. A questionable hire, that has quickly gotten worse. They finally string a couple of wins together, but in the process they have further exposed Kitchens as a disaster.
He was hired for only one reason: To continue Baker’s development. He’s failed at that.
There’s only 32 NFL HC jobs on the planet. Why does Freddie Kitchens have one of those jobs? Cleveland would be better if they just had a DC, and left the HC job vacant.

When Tomlin & Kitchens were side by side on the field after the melee, Tomlin had a "I'm going to be as professional as possible right now" look. Kitchens, on the other hand, looked like he was thinking about eating grits.

To be fair, Freddie always has that look where he’s thinking about smashing some Waffle House.

While I wasn't a big fan of the hire, Cleveland has always been hamstrung with very poor personnel decisions. I'm not sure Bill Belichick could overcome the incompetency of the Cleveland front office. I'm convinced that Cleveland will never be good, ever.

They have issues, but they are talented enough to win more so than they have. And the issues they have are things like discipline, effort, play calling, and in game decisions, which are all on the coaching staff.

He sure didn’t help himself by telling a reporter that he wasn’t smart enough to answer the question being asked about discipline after the game. His problem was with the word “systemic.” RTR

Give me a break. Kitchens success will be determined by wins and loses. The players love the guy. The college national coach of the year at this point is Ed Oregon. He, like Hollywood Henderson said about T Bradshaw, couldn't spell cat if you spotted him the C and the A.
Last year's natty winner was Dabo who is only marginally smarter than the other ex-Alabama player/coach who won a natty @ Clemson, Danny Ford. Those three guys speak volumes about football not being a chemistry exam.

Yeah but Freddie kitchens is the oc and not just the head coach.
Big diff between just being head coach and draw8ng up the plays and calling them.
I'm glad baker seems like he finally humbled himself, as much as baker can.
He was buying into the hype

Anyone who watched the game last night could see clearly that the Browns were told to cross the line with physicality. The lack of discipline and bushleague play came from the top.
Plus he's squandering a top 10 roster. Guy is the worst coach in football.
He's toast - living on borrowed time.

I thought Garrett should have gotten 3 games and Kitchens fired today. I'm a Browns fan.

They crowned Baker Mayfield before he ever proved he was a capable NFL QB.
