Browns and John Dorsey are “leaning towards” parting ways today, sources tell @mortreport and me, but this is a fluid and not final situation. Dorsey is meeting today with Browns’ owner Jimmy Haslam to finalize details. Signs pointing to the end for Dorsey.

The official word is that the #Browns and Dorsey couldn't agree on a structure. A housecleaning in Cleveland.

Former Browns’ GM John Dorsey has two years remaining on his contract. He becomes the latest in a long line of former Browns’ high-level employees to collect millions from the Haslams.

If I had a sports franchise that I wanted to run into the ground, I’d give Jimmy Haslam a call.

Dorsey gets blamed for the mess this season. I’d be curious whether Dorsey wanted Kitchens or Haslam did.

My understanding is #Browns owner Jimmy Haslam is considering structural changes that would curb John Dorsey's authority as GM. Nothing done yet, but this appears to be headed towards reaching a settlement and parting ways.

Should have been more clear, Whether it was Dorsey who wanted Kitchens or Haslam.

Dorsey is responsible for the disastrous 2019 season. He assembled a team full of big personalities, then put Freddie Kitchens in charge.

However, good luck finding someone more qualified than him to run the Browns.

Supposedly, there is a power play behind the scenes between Dorsey and the analytical staff headed by Paul DePodesta.

Love this Bill Simmons tweet:

What's the best way to tell it's officially the end of the year?

1. The date is December 31st

2. The Browns fire everyone

I really hope the Haslams maintain some influence in Knoxville.

There was some discussion on NFL Live or some other show that Dorsey wanted more control which is why he hired Kitchen because he could control him.

Dude brought an unpredictable OBJ into a young, improving locker room..obviously wasn’t going to work, should have signed the best OL available.

Dorsey built a good roster, but trading Kevin Zeitler for Olivier Vernon was really, really bad. The Browns felt that one all season.

Landry can/has kept OBJ in check.
