I’d be a good coach if I could hand pick my players from Orleans parish

Why did pride’s comment get deleted?

With that being said, assembling that talent is part of coaching.

Why would he take that job? Effectively stop coaching….no thanks.

Analyst/player personnel can coach on field now - the only thing they can't do is go on the road to recruit

Probably would more than triple his salary also

He’s obviously a good coach. Look at his track record on the players he produces and championships

Put him in a rural school that doesn't have access to the most talent rich area of the south and see how he does before you declare him a good coach.

Can someone explain who Gerod Burr is? I've seen multiple sites list him as the head coach of Edna Karr. I am sure I am misreading or misunderstanding ,but does anyone know who this is?

MaxPreps says Gerod Burr Head Coach

LINK

this other site from a year ago references this Burr name a few time as head coach.

LINK

quote:

“Responding after two turnovers. You know, that was something that I was real proud to see John fight through that after starting out so rusty,” Edna Karr football head coach Gerod Burr said. “But the pressure of playing quarterback at Edna Karr comes with the territory.”

Again, I'm sure I am misreading something.

quote:

Leading the run game was still Johnson who wasn’t afraid to scramble and take it himself. He finished the night with three rushing touchdowns.

“He’s the best player in the state,” Burr said. “He might be the smallest quarterback in the state, but you find me another quarterback that's better than that and I’ll pat you on the back.”

Obviously some kind of screw up.

Probably like when some other guy had to be LCA "head coach" so Trev Faulk didn't have to teach.
