just said if one of the co-dc's will be back next year it will be Mallory as the DB's coach only. FWIW

I don't even want him coaching the DB's. I think we need to start from scratch.

The key word is "if." He isn't saying he will be back just more likely he is retained over Bradley Dale.

That was his opinion which shouldn't be taken for much given the complete lack of insite he provided on his little segment.

i read somewhere that Peveto may interview at Northwestern State. Maybe thats why Mallory would still be here.

I think the point is that Mallory is apparently one of the only position coaches (when he was one) on defense that is worth a dang as a coach. The rest are just good recruiters.

You may be right, given the fact that he has a great deal of experience as a secondary coach and he has a pretty solid lineage, being Bill Mallory's son.

On the other hand, a DC worth his salt won't take kindly to being told he has to keep holdover assistants on his staff.
