Brent Pease, who was fired from Florida’s offensive coordinator position a couple weeks ago, has been hired by Washington head coach Chris Petersen for an as-yet-unknown role on the Huskies staff, according to a report on Tuesday from CoachingSearch.com.

My guess is OC. He wasn't terrible at Boise under Peterson. Maybe he'll be okay at Washington

that's interesting. I've been wondering if they were keeping some of the current offensive staff, especially Tuiasosopo, around. Pease is obviously an easy fit and he can go to several positions depending on who they keep.

Good luck to Pease.
Will be difficult for him to get another good job if he has any success at UW. He has been borderline terrible every place he has been, except for coaching under Petersen.

Read the OP and the hundreds of articles recently about Petersen again.

Will Petersen rehire Wilcox too?

Saw this coming from a mile away. I think I even joked about it as soon as Petersen agreed to go to Washington.

Wilcox is under contract still as part of Sark's staff there. He doesn't have to rehire him. If he doesn't want him he has to fire him.
Indications seem to be that Wilcox is staying as USC doesn't want to pay his buyout. But Peterson is also bringing his DC from Boise so that mucks up the works. The good is the Boise guy worked under Wilcox and supposedly they are still pretty tight. Might be a co- thing.
It'll all probably happen quickly after their bowl game this weekend when the staff transition can really take place.

I wouldn't totally base Peace's performance on the Florida job. Muschamp wanted to run an offense similar to Bama's and it was Peace's job to implement it.
He'll work out better in a spread offense like he's done before.

Rumors are that he will be the WR coach here.

Not sure yet. The 3 that are in limbo are Marques Tuiasosopo (QB), Justin Wilcox (DC), and Tosh Lupoi (DL)
So far the rumored and partially confirmed staff is...
HC: Chris Petersen
OC: ?
QB: Jonathon Smith
RB: Keith Bhonapha
WR: Brent Pease (rumor)
TE: ?
OL: Chris Strausser
ST: ?
DC: ? Pete Kwiatkowski (He's on staff, but not sure of the position yet. Either DC, DL, or LB depending on what happens with Lupoi and Wilcox)
DL: ?
LB: ?
DB: Jimmy Lake

It wasnt just while he was at Florida. He has been terrible at Kentucky and Baylor also.
