Congrats on the moment of clarity. These are fluid/delicate situations. Anyone with up to date information isn't fricking around on a message board. These select board members involved acquire companies and perform mergers without allowing leaks. These are NOT Gridiron Club members. Hell, the purple blazers aren't even involved. AT best, your information is second hand from the weakest board member involved (as all message board "insiders" info is). These situations are best done, as they are intended, behind closed doors.

Think about it this way... if you were willing to pay 6, this is 1 million more over, say, 7 years... 7 million difference. Not getting him will cost much more in foregone revenue.

You cats are not thinking big picture - you're getting ready to spend upwards of $14 to $15 million to dismiss an entire staff.
You sign up Jimbo Fisher, and offer him an outrageous $50 million contract - what if he comes in and shits the bed early? Like 4-8 or whatever? Now you're on the hook for the balance of the contract to make an early pull. Unlikely, but otherwise, there is no more control over the football program - it's been gambled on one guy.
Even if money were no object (and it is most definitely is) - at a certain point your budget would get consumed paying a bunch of guys not to coach.

Just like I have said in several threads today, until Florida State announces that he is getting a raise, he is still in play. Sexton is going to get the most money out of whoever he can.
