Is Harris gone regardless? Can the right OC salvage (repair?) Harris to the point where he's a legitimate QB option for LSU going into 2017?
Seems like his primary issue was quickly diagnosing and adjusting to the defense when his primary option was no longer available. Of course he doesn't have the greatest accuracy but that could be a confidence thing.
Surely a spread type offense gives him simpler reads?

A spread offense does enable simpler reads, but multiple reads must be made more quickly.

If Harris can't muster looking beyond his primary option, the spread won't do much to help him.

His lack of accuracy can be helped with better throwing mechanics, which can be taught by an OC or QBs coach.

Definitely looks "checked out" emotionally when the sideline camera grabs a shot but he's never been that rah rah guy. Hard to tell.

If Kiffin does indeed come to LSU, I think he could turn Harris into something special. Dude turned Blake Sims into a national champion QB in his first year starting. That came out of NOWHERE.

Harris is gone. Could not hit the broad side of a barn.

We can't say he is done, it's a long season and if DE gets hurt, Harris will have to step up.

the guy has had more QB coaching than anybody. he had a private coach, participated in numerous off season clinics and was taken under his wing by Cameron. maybe he had too much coaching.

one thing about athletes that a lot of people don't understand is that THEY HAVE A CEILING. no one knows where that ceiling is until they hit it. has BH hit his ceiling? the hell if I know for sure but my guess is probably.

Brandon has awful footwork and mechanics. That's his biggest problem. If you go back and look at the pick that sealed the deal for Wisconsin, his left foot was off the ground about and inch, and he was on the ball of his right foot(if that's the throw I'm thinking of). He throws happy footed and doesn't square his shoulders. This habit often shows itself under intense pressure, but Brandon often did this with a clean pocket. Also, if you look at film, one of the things that Etling does well is move around in the pocket so he can buy himself and receivers time. Brandon's first instinct is to roll out. I think there are some 1 read spread concepts that would help Brandon, but until he gets his mechanics corrected, he will always struggle with accuracy

It's hard to tell if it's just Harris that doesn't get it, or if this is a piss poor development job by his QB coach. Anyhow, I hope Brandon has alot of success, because he is a good kid

He's got two years left and Etling is the returning starter. I don't think he can take the gamble and stay. He needs to find a program with a senior incumbent and little depth. Go there, redshirt as a transfer and try to start for two years.

I don't think Harris would make a good OC. Too young imo.

Do you really think he can run a spread offense better than Etling? I mean just cause he's one of dark skin does not make him a better spread QB. Jesus Christ Etling is an even better runner than Harris imo. Etling doesn't get flustered when pressure comes he evades and turns it into 5-10 yard scrambles. Etling> Harris every day of the week. The only thing Harris has going for him is a slightly better deep ball but Etling should have that all fixed by next year.

Harris is a junior. If he redshirted next year he only has one year left to play.

He's done at LSU.

I don't think he can miraculously resurrect his career in one year.

He and LSU should both move on.

frick me...let it go. Severing ties at this point for both parties should be the only reasonable course of action.
