And all the more reason they should have gotten Miles

Ugh. Disappointing. I fear the transfers that will come out of this. Not only is recruiting killed, but if we lose key players elsewhere?

They better have some killer coordinators lined up....

oh. makes sense. one of the reasons i suspected miles was onboard for y'all was because i couldn't believe RR would be fired w/o the replacement in place.

Considering the offense SDST ran last season and the QBs on Michigan's roster, I think we should all prepare for more Miles to Michigan drama in 3 years or so.

So were the reports saying if Miles was offered the job he'd take it bull? I would like a real authentic story here explaining that

Dave Brandon may have just trumped Bill Martin in terms of crappiest AD legacy. I mean, obviously, we really don't know if Hoke will be a bust here or not, but his track record points to yes. Not to mention we are looking at another 3 years of rebuilding since Hoke has said the spread is "basketball on grass". Thought DB wanted to avoid another rebuild, clearly not.

Lol it was suggest on another michigan board that Hoke could run out and commit a felony tonight.. so I guess hiring him isn't the worst case scenario

what does the change in style do to this year's recruiting? will the fanbase unite enough to prevent recruiting losses strictly caused by dissention?

I just hope he will focus solely on defense and they'll hire an OC run an offense complimentary to Denard's skills.

I don't think this is a bad hire; he turned 2 programs around that were really REALLY crappy when he took over

Well if its who they hired then we cant change anything now. So we have to support him.

I am going to go and wear my Michigan hat tomorrow and talk as much smack to anyone I see here on base wearing a college logo. (cept LSU fans whose shoulders we have been crying on recently)

Go Brady and Big Blue!

I don't think recruiting losses will be because of fans not approving of the hire. I think it will more than likely be because they have no idea who this guy is.
We already knew we were going to have a bad recruiting class because of this, quite frankly I'm more concerned about the number of players on our current roster (especially Denard) that might leave because of this.

It took him 5 seasons to have a winning record at Ball state 7-6, then the next year they went 12-1 and he left (3-9 after he left so he probably would have had a similar record) then 2 seasons to get a winning record at sdsu. I am unimpressed

Its true. The factions have already made all of this pretty much unbearable. Although I hate that they seemingly got what they wanted, it's not really about the coach at the end of the day. It's about supporting the players and the school in general. I'm definitely not happy about the hire in the slightest, but I'll always love my school, and I'll always cheer them on regardless.

I hope it works out for Michigan but the hire wouldn't excite me
how many people were excited by Les Miles? That seems to have worked out ok...this job seemed more suited for Hoke than Harbaugh or Miles.
