Does that mean the flagship is taking on water?

This makes me think either Pittman is on his way out and it just hasn’t been formalized yet, or Pittman wanted Bobby out for performance/personality/both. Bobby just deciding he wants to be a HC for a small school again over Arkansas OC just seems really unlikely.

Charlotte has 30K students. Arky has 32K. Charlotte isn't small.

I think we all know what he meant by saying Charlotte is small. Enrollment does not mean a thing in relation exposure. Small market not small class sizes.

The big chair is a drug. Once you’ve sat in it and gone back to be being an assistant, it gnaws hard on you

Bobby is 63 years old, does he want to take over a head coaching grind again? I have no idea where he sits financially but that would be a factor.
If he goes I wish him well.

Maybe Petrino doesn't want to get fired twice at Arkansas or doesn't want to go back to a Missouri State head coach type job making $300,000 a year when Pittman is fired.
He is in his 60s and trying to make as much money as he can before he retires and staying at Arkansas doesn't provide much job security.
