Les Miles to stay at LSU
Contract extended by 7 years; coach turns down Arkansas

quote:

LSU and football coach Les Miles agreed Wednesday to a new seven-year contract that will include a pay raise for the second-winningest coach in school history.

The details of the contract haven’t been finalized and will be subject to approval by the LSU Board of Supervisors, but those issues appear to be mere formalities.

The announcement of the new deal came 24 hours after Internet reports that fellow Southeastern Conference member Arkansas had offered Miles a five-year, $27.5 million deal to become its new coach, an offer Miles disputed Wednesday.

quote:

People talk about winning championships, and it’s really not always about winning championships,” Alleva said. “It’s about being in the hunt to win championships, and coach (Miles) has shown that he’s consistently in the hunt to win championships and educate our young men and make them good citizens, and that’s really what this is all about.”

Funny how Joe said this and has single handledly erased that from the radar for LSU. It'll take a while before we get back to even being in the hunt.

This fricking clown says that after mortgaging the future of the LSU football program by extending Miles for 7 years and then less than three years later is going behind his back because he lost a couple of games after being ranked #2 in November.

What a cocksucking fraud that dick nose is.

The day that cuck is run out of Louisiana is the day we have a chance to be respected again.

Joe sure drives a hard bargain. I bet O could work himself a new contract extension tomorrow if he tried.

We’re in the hunt for Belk Bowl championships, and that’s nothing to scoff at.

Gills plane was in Tuscaloosa closing Saban when Miles was leaving for Michigan.

Pretty good sources say Gill said it was a done deal.

So Herbstreit shuts his mouth, we get Saban back.

What's that quote from a TD poster saying he could get a raise from Alleva when he doesn't even work for LSU? Was a a GOAT TD quote.

"Miles loves LSU so much"

Proceeds to bend LSU over a barrel with Arky job as leverage

"Don't fire Miles! He loves LSU!"

That's what happens when you recalibrate expectations lower. If, instead of setting the goal as wining championships, you set the goal as "competing" for championships, or "being in the hunt," you are inherently setting yourself to underperform your potential. Also, in no way does prioritizing winning championships preclude you from your contrived, hokey bullshite about pretending to care about graduation rates, etc... these are certainly not mutually exclusive concepts. See Bama.

And you're a fricking pussy loser if you set that soft-arse bullshite as your standard. That's what Alleva is doe.

Fact. Winning championships has to be on the mind of the entire program every day. Coaches have to expect it and that flows down. Want to see what a program looks like when the head coach is only worried about what excuses he has available for poor performance? Just look at LSU.
