How about Mike Martz? He's been out of the league for several years being an analyst for Fox Sports. Maybe reach out to him. Guice is very much like Marshall Faulk also. I'd love to see Saban game plan for his offense.

How much of Houston's offense was Applewhite and how much was Herman? I liked the Houston offense but would be concerned that most of what was ran was accredited to Tom Herman rather Major Applewhite.
I think this is the case

Meh. We took Craig Nall (Super Dozen), Davey, and got Booty back as a "walk-on" - you can say we didn't overlook him, but we did.

Houston did not run the ball at all. I don't know why so i'm leary about applewhite.

Please somebody from the Art Briles coaching tree besides himself. All of the points and none of the rape.

If not, Tee Martin is actually intriguing since they switched to a more Pro Spread since Helton took over at SC.
I know their offense has improved leaps and bounds over the course of the season, but that Bama game worries me. He didn't look like he was capable of taking on Saban. We need someone who can at least make us competitive with them on offense.

Norm Chow could be a positive hire. Although, totally out of the realm of possibility.

They did. It was just always with Ward instead of an RB. I think that was just a product of their roster. Herman ran Elliot plenty at OSU. I assume Applewhite wouldn't overlook the backs at LSU.

Tony Franklin did really good things at Cal with Jared Goff, and has MTSU at #6 in the country total offense right now.

LSU needs to hire Art Briles as OC. He'd take the job in a minute, and I can't think of a better fit for someone to guide O through the HC transition and to run a dynamic, balanced offense.
You can not hire Art Briles man you people are about as perceptive as someone in a fricking coma. How the hell can that man go anywhere and recruit? How the hell will anyone respect him after what has allowed to happen. Damn I question going after Kiffin because of character traits and you want someone who did nothing about young women getting raped. Do you have a daughter? Because if you did you sure as hell wouldn't want this man anywhere around the program or any other.

No system guy and LSU has on recruited to run that system. There O line is built for speed ours is built to maul.

you don't think Briles has anymore baggage than Kiffin?

What about trying for Kingsbury? His time as HC in Lubbock is nearing an end.

That article was written prior to the 2016 sesson. They're several names on the list that have hurt their cause.

15. Eli Drinkwitz, NC State
Heard this kids name in same sentence as Kiffin but no evidence of Kiffin in his history
Worked under Gus Malzahn in 2012 and
Brian Harsin in 2013 as QCA
Arkansas St Co OC/QB
Boise St OC/QB 2015

Bama Total Offense 2007 ranked No. 65. Saban fires Applewhite, whose offense scored 14 whole points agains Louisiana Monroe.
Texas Total Offense 2013 ranked No. 66. Brown get's fired and Applewhite is shown the door after screwing a student trainer.
Applewhite's only success was running Herman's offense; we absolutely can not give this guy the job.
