Aggies are making LSU decide, Aranda or Canada, its a squeeze play, it was timed perfectly. LSU can't pay its assistants more than its cheap head coach, LSU would be laughed at.

I say call their bluff and pay Aranda. This might piss Orgeron off enough to quit......having a coordinator getting paid as much as him. After the dust settles shite can Alleva and poach their AD.

There may be some unwritten rule that you can’t, but if they are smart, they will do what it takes to match any offer, no matter what. It doesn’t matter what other people think. It would be worth the price to keep him away from another school in the same division.
As for O, this is what he signed up for. Aranda IS better and everyone knows it. He needs to accept it and then get on up to the fricking podium and BRAG about the fact that we have the best DC in college football if we keep him.
Aranda may leave for reasons other than money like Chavis did. There’s no stopping that. But frick tradition. frick the rules. frick everyone else in college football and the media’s opinion. Don’t back away because of money.
