Did I get the wrong message when Coach O stated that Canada may be looking for a head coach job and he hopes he gets one. That speaks volumes about Coach O's feelings for the type offense that Canada brought to us. I never did like all the movement prior to snap, cause most of the time we didn't fool anyone. Let's play LSU ball...passing down field and bull rushing at times but finesse running at other times. And a swarming defense! That should do it.

O and Canada obviously can't be in the same room together. O wants his offense to look more like a Pete Carroll/USC offense.

because you are football ignorant. do you even know what pre snap motion accomplishes? it does two things. i want to see if you know. Obviously you do not have a clue and did not watch a game all year because it worked all year. yeah completely ignoring the spread concept offenses that have won nattys and beaten saban over the years like UF, Auburn, Ohio STate, Ou and ole miss and clemson.
not to mention pro style will not hide deficiencies like spread concepts. you need a great QB, WR's and line play.

We sure seemed to fool Alabama pretty well. Just need qb okay that's a notch higher than what we've had.

Canada is staying at LSU unless that the unlikely happens that he gets a head coaching job. Why would he walk away from a job paying him 1.5 million dollars? If Coach O fires him, he is owed 3 million dollars. Does Coach O give up his salary to pay Canada's buyout. I don't think so.

People can't seem to understand it, though. It boils down to one thing...money. LSU ain't paying for a successful coordinator to be fired, and Canada isn't leaving unless he finds a HC job. At this time, there's no place for him to end up. Expect to see him at LSU next year unless some very desparate HC job opens. Who knows maybe he will be UT's coach in 2018.
