So Bobby compared zo to a guy that has been s coordinator or HC in the NFL for like 28 years.

O was unemployed before we hired him

That's an understatement when it comes to this board

Understood. I'm just frustrated with the boards overall attitude and negativity. I'm disappointed too about how we got here, more than O being the choice. I hate that people fail to realize that coaches can improve and learn from their experiences. Not saying O will be great, but it's unfair to assume he's the same coach now as he was 12 years ago Look at saban, he's a better a coach now than he was 2000-2004. Largely bc of his nfl failure. Coaches are human and can improve with experience. It's not impossible despite what the attitude here seems to be

Very rational post.

You are wasting your time.

These people are stuck in the "Anger" phase.....

O loses 4 games next year, this will prove to be an atrocious hire

Yes the guy that played in the NFL and has a radio show

Here's a newsflash: you don't have to be particularly smart, informed, or wise to hold either of those positions.

I'll be completely surprised if we don't lose 4 games next year. We lose a ton of talent, new offensive system being put in(even though 99% of these kids ran a spread in HS, and it's very easy to learn and run, it will be an excuse), and the schedule could be pretty brutal depending on how good a couple teams turn out. That said, this hire was a complete fricking failure and we'lol officially be a dumpster fire in 2 years.

Hate to admit it, but true. Bobby's been on Les' arse but particularly since the 1/9/12 disaster. He might have not been the most professional in the after game press conference, but I certainly could not agree with the essence of what he said.

He must be a fricking football savant to figure out LSU sucked in that game.

I wonder what will end up worse, Buddy D pushing Ditka on the Saints or Hebert's campaigning for O.

This board is amusing. O was not my first choice but is it impossible to imagine that maybe he has grown as a coach over the last decade? Maybe he has learned a lot from two interim stints? Not saying he's Pete Carroll or coach hoodie up in New England, but I'll bet he's not the same coach he was 12 years ago either.

Time will tell. I'm willing to wait and see. Others in here have moved to Canada or gone on a full embarrassing over emotional melt.

Fair enough. But I have a proposal:

IF O fails, Bobby resign from public media and accept an exile.

Seriously, Bobby. If you believe this (and you may very well be right) and Ed loses, you go down with the ship........if we're being hardcore and backing Ed, that goes for T as well.

He's not going to step down. How would he ever be able to afford his bar tab?
