You have to think that even the mention of an NCAA investigation erases all the allure towards the Auburn job and the NC of 2010.

It would not surprise me for them to buy Chizek's slience by keeping him on one more year and firing Trooper Taylor who is reputed to be an unsavory character when it comes to recruiting. I think Trooper also recruited Cam Newton and has been linked to other scandals.

Auburn got hit this week and you have to wonder if the NCAA put this out to warn any potential HC to beware with a change in head coach and staff to be eminent.

Maybe within the ranks of the NCAA, there could be some backlash for not pursuing the Cam Newton story any more than they did...

The NCAA is operating more and more like a government agency than a non profit association promoting college athletics..

NCAA investigation could be a blessing, providing cause for Auburn to fire the Chiz w/o paying his buyout. however, i still think he dies in a December hunting accident w/ the Yellowman and the Bagman. he knows too much to just get paid off.

Likely still pay it but it will be greatly reduced.

Under this situation, no coach worth a damn will want to touch Auburn. So will be justified when they go hire the best available, Bobby Petrino.

What situation? This all will most likely culminate in a slap on the wrist, minor secondary violations.

Unless you're part of the conspiracy crowd that thinks this will dig up more dirt on Cam, which everyone is STILL upset about.

Minor violations if that, won't matter to the next coach.

Nothing to do with Cam. You don't pull 2 coaches off the road from recruiting one of which is your recruiting coordinator for minor violations.

Think what you want y'all are crazy to think a good coach would not want to come to AU. That's just hater talk. AU is a good football school whether you like it or not. Bookmark me saying nothing will happen to AU with this investigation. Nothing big at least.

It happens all the time for secondaries. They are still recruiting, I believe just cant do it off campus.

I doubt its a minor violation if Trooper is involved.

Don't think the NCAA would announce violations in time to help auburn get rid of chizik for cause and negate his buyout. More like the new coach would face sanctions later if the NCAA finds anything

Auburn could pay this over a number of years.

We have been through all of this before. You all should have learned from the Cam deal not frick with AU fans. We were right then and we are right now. Run along now and leave the cheating to the big boys.

If trooper speaks Alabama will be screwed. He has evidence.

Trooper was pulled from the road, but has nothing to do with Robinson. Secondary violation, he continues to recruit and wanted to see his kid play. He will. NOT be fired net week and will be back on the road recruiting.

Believe what you want. This is an old story that was spun. Connecting dots that are not related.

I never once said that a good coach wouldn't want to coach at auburn. But the crazy one is you for thinking that a impending investigation will have no impact on your search. Auburn is a top 15 all time program, but any coach with a damn will think twice before taking a job at the most penalized program in NCAA history.

So Auburn is now finally in trouble because they're a shitty team and are not undefeated with Cam as their QB and playing in the BCSNCG?

You sound very mad and very uninformed from your responses in this thread.
