Art Briles has resigned after two years as AD/ahead Football Coach at Mount Vernon. Briles led the program to the Class 3A, Division I semifinals before losing to Tuscola Jim Ned. #txhsfb

Wells is 8-14 at Tech, 5-13 in conference play. The Red Raiders finished the pandemic-shortened regular season at 4-6, though Wells did not coach the victory over winless Kansas because he had tested positive for COVID-19.
Wells signed a six-year, $18.8 million contract in 2018.

If i was Taco Tech, i'd offer Briles the job, on the contingent that he hired his son as Ocoord. Briles has nothing to lose, and younger Briles could be promised the gig when Dad retires.

Briles needs a image rehab assignment before a head coach stint. I think he will be Tex Techs OC.
