I can tell you right now that Arnett is not intending to interview to get a raise at state. All of my state buddies and their posters consider him already gone. It's just a matter of how soon and to where. Dude is the real deal and his opportunities show it. If you paid attention to State's locker room / attrition issues and offensive struggles this year, you understand how impressive Arnett was. Further, how impressive he could be with superior talent.

Yep, he’s too expensive regardless due to buyout and salary after having to buyout Pelini and the rest of the bunch.

Considering State can't retain a good defensive coordinator for the last 15 years and can't recruit against the top half of the SEC, it's pretty amazing what we have done.

All that said. He gone. Next man up I guess. Leach can identify talent, but it would be nice to have a little consistency.

Maybe he isn't going for a raise but as a HC position?

Leach will be at State for another 2-3 full years at least. Arnett would have a better shot at usurping O lol. Also, the fact that he is being considered and is interviewing for multiple DC openings disproves the HC-only theory.

State gave him a raise and extension at the end of the season. He was making $900k. New salary unknown.

I like the 3-3-5, but what I really want is D-Cord. that make adjustments in game, swith to a 3-4/4-3 when needed, if needed!!

Yeah and if Oregon really wanted him I think they could pony up more money than LSU only IF they were willing to pay that though

Bring to lake Charles

Feed him Darrell's sandwich

Old Tyme Grocery in Lafayette is much better than Darrell's. Old Tyme's second location (called BJ's in Broussard) also taste exactly the same as original. Darrell's location in Jennings taste nothing like the Lake Charles location.
