Look at his defenses. He has yearly blunders despite having some of the best coordinators around. Some of the best talent, ect.

I do not want Jimbo. he will give up multiple 30/40 point games a year.

Didn't realize he had chavis and aranda while he was at FSU.

LSU's 2003 DEF was one of the best in the last 25 years with Jimbo calling plays

his 2013 DEF was #2 overall and gave up 11ppg

if we hire Jimbo and are able to retain Aranda for at least two more years, we will see a championship.

What makes you think Charles Kelly is coming with fisher? Fisher has aranda already in Baton Rouge. He lost Pruitt to Bama and Bama doesn't pay their defensive assistants like LSU does. Fisher had to settle on Charles Kelly. Was it a good hire? Hell no. But There lies the rub between Fisher and the FSU admins and their boosters. I have FSU alum co worker friends of mine. One is still a Tomahawk booster he tells me that many of the old FSU coach's club and old Guard Renegade boosters have a self entitled attitude towards FSU. They think FSU is the 80-90s FSU allocating the same resources for facilities and coaches. For the most part their facilities are stuck with in the 90s, and they don't pay their assistants shite. The ACC is not has bad as what people claim. Last i looked they have two teams fighting to get into the playoffs. This is not the ACC of the 80s and 90s where FSU only had to worry about was Virginia and BC every so often. Clemson didn't beat FSU From 1992-2002. The ACC raised the level of competition while FSU kept there's around meh. And that is what Fisher is battling along with Miami being competitive again.

Why did Jimbo hire a DC without any DC experience? Why did Jimbo give a 5 year extension + raise to this DC?

Uhhhh......his current DC sux and there's been constant riff between them this year. If he retains Aranda at LSU the defense will be the least of our worries. But tell yourself whatever makes you feel better.

He's not the one paying him. He wants to make sure he's taken care of financially. And Jimbo may have not planned on staying around FSU. That in itself would give him an excuse to not bring Kelly with him. It's actually a pretty genius calculation if that's what took place.

You're the same guy who thought Chavis was "overrated" as a defensive coordinator. You should just keep your inner thoughts just that...inner.

Why don't you tell us who the most proven available coach is.

LSU statistically had 2 of the top 4 seasons in total offense in their history under fisher. fisher also had Qbs that registered 3 0f the top seasons ever at LSU. LSU statistically had two of the top 4 seasons in scoring under Fisher. The 2003 LSU offense statistically was the most balanced ever and believe it or had slightly more passing than rushing yards. That offense also helped LSU hold opponents to an an average of 69 yards a game. Combine that with his ties to LSU, knows the expectations, knows the recruiting base, and his success at Florida, he is a the best fit for LSU. Desperate? Yeah to score more than 11 points on Bama.

lol Chavis is over rated. He benefited from a Clock Control offense under Miles. Just look at his defenses at A&M. He fell off hard after he lost out on those elite athletes.

I want Herman or O with the right OC.

why would I trust a guy like Fisher who would just go to whoever the highest bidder is? isn't he already getting paid 7 mil a year to produce 3 loss seasons?

He recruits. he'll keep aranda. he let's his coaches coach. He's done a tremendous job without an actual offensive coordinator. Is willing to open up the offense (said he should have hired freeze while at Ole Miss.) Bleeds purple and Gold. We can get him cheap until he proves himself. He won't completely tank the program.

Plus Fisher has a ton of baggage with his Quarterbacks alone.

So does Saban.

2016 Bama: 43 to Ole Miss, 30 to Arkansas
2015 Bama: 43 to Ole Miss, 40 to Clemson
2014 Bama: 44 to Auburn, 42 to Ohio St
2013 Bama: 42 to Texas A&M, 34 to Auburn, 45 to Oklahoma
