Are the pro PJ Fleck nerds anti Orgeron?

Coach O does not have the big name of a Jimbo or Tom Herman but that's okay.
Les didn't have that either in 2005 and look at the impressive record he had.
It's pretty pathetic that Ogereon has put up offensive records in EVERY game and people still don't want to give him a chance.
This offense is playing well above its head. Defense is outstanding.

Its not pathetic. We are looking at his overall body of work. He hasn't had a perm HC gig since Ole Miss. Even if he won out he would still have a losing record as a HC. Why would you take him over other proven coaches with a better record? That's what doesn't make sense to me.

It would be the most incredible turnaround in recent LSU history. This team according to Jimmy Ott is 26 points better according to Vegas with Ogereon than Miles.

Shouldn't we promote Ensigmer to HC if this is what we are basing the search on? Why is O getting credit for an offense everyone says he has no say on?

I think that has more to do with Miles being gone than O being here. He's done a good job, but again "most incredible turnaround in recent LSU history" is another stretch. I believe Saban gets that honor.

What about if O lost to Wyoming, Vanderbilt(twice), wake Forrest, Missouri (twice)? As a power 5 head coach no less?

What part of "let's be fair here" do you not understand? Throwing those two teams (three games) in the argument as terrible losses was not fair.

No. This team was #5 in the nation entering the season. The most talented team in the nation besides Bama. They SHOULD be lighting it up.

The fact is, O gets credit for every piece of improvement, but doesn't hold any responsibility for previous failures.

Agreed. It really is sad so many are ready to give away the job based off of beating these three teams we faced. No cares given about previous records, playing an actually good team first, etc.
"Coach O is letting Steve do his job and produce yards? Just give him a seven/eight figure contract based off that alone!" Yeah.... doesn't work like that.

It's extremely rare for a HC to go from the worst 3 year stint in SEC history, to competing and winning NCs every year. I would venture that it's never happened in college football.

Its not like he was mediocre at ole miss because of circumstances he couldn't control. The more of his players that came in, the worse they became.
Its nearly impossible that O can be a top 5 HC. Which is what we are looking for.
