Are the mid major coaches a better bet in NIL/Portal era?

It seems like if you are at Memphis, Tulane, or USF you have had, on average, more players to replace since NIL started. You’re not only losing players to smaller schools anymore, but now the SEC types are coming in and stripping your roster every year. Guys like Sumrall and Golesh have had to be masters of evaluating talent, and replacing their star players almost every year. I would think that would give them an advantage over an SEC/Big10 coach who has largely relied on staff, and haven’t lost their best players as often. Clark Lea may be an exception since Vandy was in the cellar of the SEC.
