If Herman goes to Texas he will lure his buddy Aranda there sooner or later.

I know they don't have a coach in waiting deal anymore, but i sure hope they made certain assurances to keep Aranda in BR for a long time. Would be the only silver lining in this clusterfrick.

The people running LSU seem to think it's a workable scenario to have a low IQ head coach with great coordinators. It didn't work with Miles, and it won't work now.

Our hope here is that LSU will pay him pretty much anything now because they can afford it. That, and if he sees himself on the fast track to an HC position or the NFL, then UT is just a detour to rebuild a very bad defense. He could be hired away from LSU on a continued upward trajectory next year or the year after.
He seems like a logical guy. Let's hope that beats out the ex-roommate.

They're going to have to offer more than $2 mil a year in addition to Herman's $7 mil AND Strong's buyout
