You're really just making stuff up now.

This is right around where Baylor ranked when Rhule was the coach and I don't see anyone saying he can't recruit.

It's freaking Baylor for crying out loud, in Waco, Texas. It's not like they routinely recruit in the top 20.

And yet he recruited Pat Queen and made a first round pick out of him. Your argument is now over.

As a developer, he also has Deon Jones and Duke Riley in the NFL

Baylor has a worse recruiting class than Iowa State. That’s unacceptable

Why? Matt Campbell is a hell of a coach and this is ISU's best class probably ever.

How so?

I think he consistently prioritized coaching his own guys rather than putting in the long hours involved in recruiting. Nothing wrong with that. But the man just didn’t treat recruiting as the absolute number one priority as a DC. There’s absolutely no proof he’s stepped up in this regard as a HC either at Baylor

41 and now 33 ranked classes at Baylor.. finishing 20-15 at LSU will not lead to success

Yep, it was just Napier running solo, not Alabama or their success, or playing for Saban, or anything about the machine they are running.

This thread is dumb and you should feel bad for starting it. This “concern” is unfounded and contrived. There is no reason to believe Aranda isn’t a proficient recruiter. If he wasn’t, his college career would have stalled a long time ago or he’d have gone to the NFL.

Yeah Jones who he never coached is definitely his project.

Only thing I have against him. If you don’t think that’s an issue, you are the problem. You’ll never win a championship if your mindset is “LSU recruits itself.” Florida said the same thing.. now they’re fighting for their lives against Samford

I have mentioned that Dave isn’t known as a recruiter plenty of times, but I still think this is blown out of proportion as a reason not to hire him. He isn’t known as an ace closer like Saban, Kirby and Jimbo, but that doesn’t mean the man can’t recruit.

Here’s the other thing. Anyone on a staff can recruit and you have two coordinators who can easily be seen as your closers. It’s easier for a coach who can handle one side of the ball to keep a good OC and surround himself with great recruiting than it is for a guy like O to always have two ace play-callers. The numbers and odds are simple and clear here.

And you're lacking facts, intelligence, etc. Continue repeating the hit job narrative.

Defensive super stars wanted to play for him regardless of whether he was the assigned recruiter because he is smart, communicates well with young men, develops NFL talent and is a winner.

How about we get Devin White, Phillips and Queen to weigh in . . .

Alright I fricked that one up, but it still doesn't mean he isn't a hell of a coach.

Keep using cherry picked Mississippi and Alabama recruits that went to UGA as proof of recruiting struggles. Just take your L.

Imagine Aranda bringing Jeff Grimes to LSU as his offensive coordinator.

The guy was one of the worst offensive line recruiters in the SEC and the dumpster fire that is our OL is because of him.

Now imagine that guy being responsible for QB and WR recruiting as well.

That’s retarded

Grimes hasn’t been out OL Coach since 2017 and that class was legit.
