TT QB Harrell said it's a very good chance that Leach is going somewhere else. Where would you think?

Problem is he probably won't be working with much better talent (if it is any better at all) at MSU. The way I see it if he is going to make a move it should at least be to a school where he can get an upgrade in talent to showcase his coaching ability WITH a more talented team.

Agree, but what would be better going somewhere where you only have to have a winning season or somewhere you have to win 10 plus everyyear!

Mike Leach wants the Auburn job. Unfortunately for Leach, Auburn does not want him. It was reported today that Leach is not being looked at by Auburn.

No way he goes to Auburn. Whoever goes there will be inheriting a mess.

That other guy didn't fit well in the SEC either. You know the guy that came in the early 90s and like to chuck it around? I think he won an SEC title or two.

Leach is the Spurrier of this millenium.

Leach was offered a 5 year extension at 12 Mil+
I think T-Bone Pickens likes GUNDY, Okie state gave him a 7 year extension with 15 MIL +. After
all that Harrell still thinks Leach leaves.

95% of coaching opportunities are like this. It's just the way it is.

Leach may have a better shot at winning a national title in Lubbock than Auburn.

What we don't know is does he and his family like it in Lubbock which is a shite hole of epic proportions. Being the step child in Alabama and having to scavenge for talent around the South is not unlike what he does at TT.

Well from what i've been reading for the last week, no coach fits in the SEC. If a coach has talent and has a proven record whats the problem. You still have to coach regardless of conference.

I live near Auburn and can assure you that if he goes to Auburn it will be nothing short of disaster. The well, shall I say, "ultra redneck" and control freak style of Auburn's leadership will not understand nor tolerate the "quirkiness" and "free wheelingness" of his style and personality and in short order he will be an outcast.

He is a good coach and might do very well there but his personality will be a detriment and one "off color" remark about the south, the "people" of the south, racial harmony or disharmony, ungrateful or unappreciative fans, prejudice or anything like that will cause a groundswell of hatred towards him.

Without the sex scandal, he could become Auburn's version of Mike Price if hired...
