Saban has told administrators he will continue to lose to Sunbelt teams until he gets a raise. The real estate thing is a ploy to help get that raise.

I just saw Terri Saban at the Izzo's on Corporate. This shite is going down.

10 mill buyout. Not a chance.

I have heard from a number of folks supposedly in the "know" that Sexton has called and inquired if there would be interest on LSU's part. The deal would be for a $1 M paycut and a $10M buy out.
Anyone hearing similar things?
Know I haven't heard anything but I think if they threw in Candy and some Little Debbies they may be able to strike a deal.

Our administration is supposedly saying no to it. Maybe we need to march outside Lombardi and Bertman's office. :jump1: :jump2:

It would be a complete meltdown in Alabama.
I think he will come back to LSU if offered the job. I have said that from the beggining and I am sticking to it. I feel pretty sure that he is miserable in Tuscaloosa.

Not a chance of what? Saban agreeing to sign a contract with that big of a buyout? Maybe if he wants out of Gumpville bad enough.

You must have read the same thing I read....that if this is going to happen, it'll be something like $3M/yr with a $10M buyout. If that shite goes down, its obvious Saban wants back BAD!

If Saban did come back to LSU, no buy out would be needed. No one would ever approach him again.

big hangup in negotiations is LSU is in talks to add ULM to the schedule in a few years and Saban said that is a showstopper...

No way. He'll sacrifice $1 mil a year over 7 years, a no buyout contract and further damage his reputation (by leaving another job just 1 year after being shown to be a liar to the press) to come back to BR (or go anywhere for that matter)? I don't see it.

I don't really want the guy back.

Is that the sequel to "Sleepless in Seattle"?

Now Terri is at the Cold Stone by Whole Foods. I'll keep tailing her and posting from my blackberry.
It's happening!

Would you have said the same 1 year ago? Take emotions out of it and simply answer the question.

would be very hard to re-create what was here before...

Bama may shut down their program if their savior coach took a $1 million paycut to leave and coach LSU.
