FWIW he usually doesn’t say anything unless he’s 100% confident in it.

LSU has been expecting staff changes for a couple of months now. LSU should be the one kicking the dominoes over, not reacting to them falling.

Well you may be right. If I am a coach that multiple want to talk to, then I am waiting for some “dominos to fall” before making any official agreements.

Correct. Example if you are Marcus Freeman would you not wait a little while to see if your head coach gets a job thereby opening up the Cincinnati head coach gig. With a lateral move I'd be sure any opportunities for me to get a head coach job were exhausted before I'd take a lateral albeit more money move.
